A load strap drum option is offered for every standard model of Columbia winch and hoist. With hoist capacities to 5,600 lbs. and winch capacities to 11,000 lbs., Columbia strap drum models provide versatile load handling capability while eliminating the inherent disadvantages of wire rope or chain.

In addition to being easier to handle, inspect and install, straps eliminate load rotation problems associated with wire rope and chain. Unlike wire rope, straps wind smoothly without long lead distances to the drum. Straps do not require lubrication nor do they "jagger", chip or spark.
